Wheel Clamping

The JMC recently approved the purchase of 10 wheel clamps at a cost of approx RM400 each to help combat some of the parking issues that have been so prevalent.

All residents are reminded that you may only park in the bay(s) allocated to your unit. If your household has more cars than spaces allocated to your unit then some of your options are:
  1. Purchase another space from the developer
  2. Rent a space from another resident
  3. Park on the road outside

Vehicles which are found to be:
  • Parked indiscriminately
  • In another residents bay
  • Found to be in a visitors space
will be clamped and subjected to a release fee of RM100.

A good example of a car parked indiscriminately is show below:

Since the clamps arrived in the last few weeks over 7 cars have been clamped and there is a noticeable decrease in cars parked indiscriminately although there is still more work to be done.

Plans are underway to replace the current parking stickers and once this is completed it will further help to reduce the parking problems.

  2. What about motorcycles that park at lots meant for cars? I understand some own motorbikes instead of cars but parking their bikes at carlots is just not the way to do it. It is really unsightly and make VW look disorganised. And then what about the motorcycles that clutter indiscriminately around the entrance bridges of 1st phase towers at all parking levels? I notice that motorcyclists are the easiest to enter VW and they seem to be everywhere without any control. I went to Prima Setapak recently & motorcycles are parked according to their alloted lots and there many signs to indicate "No Motorcycle" at appropriate areas - especially near entrances to lifts & walkways. VW should do the same.

  6. That's a nice and effective way to reduce the parking problems and to discipline some drivers who parks wherever they wanted.
