  1. Ways to protect our gym:
    (1) Entry using the Residents access card only
    (2) CCTV is use to monitor the present of under 18 and when residents appears to be rough on the equipments, someone from the mgmt office shld drop by to check.

  2. Noticed that the gym door does not automatically close shut. As such anybody can just walk in without a card. Also besides the equipment maintenance, the cleanliness of the gym is somehow not maintained. Can the management get the cleaners to clean it at least once a day. A sweep of the floor and a wipe of the equipments with antiseptics will help...thanks. Put signages(with pictures) to remind users to be properly attired as some come in with slippers & sandals. These can spoil the equipments. Thanks again.

  3. Thanks for the suggestions, these will be passed onto the management office.

Entry to the gym requires a card and although CCTV is a good idea it requires somebody to monitor it. The management office are looking at ways to improve the situation. In the mean time please feel free to report any issues with under 18’s etc to the security guards or management office.

  5. The current cleaning schedule is:
For gym floor the cleaners will sweep and mop daily

For equipment it should be wiped weekly.

I will ask if daily cleaning is possible.

  6. Could the management PLEASE put up simple signs on the glass panels in front of the treadmills to inform users to limit usage to 30 minutes in the presence of others waiting? Many a times we get self-centred 'users' who hog the treadmill using it for over an hour sometimes without bothering those who are waiting to use it. As it is, there's only 2 usable treadmills - so, many would be 'fighting' to use them. I would also suggest security to patrol the gym once in a while to check on those flouting rules like improper attire, underage & eating at the gym. In this aspect In addition, I would suggest proper signs with 'pictures' for the benefit of ignorant, English-illiterate bunch of residents.

  8. What's up with gym door? Is it for easy access to non-residents? There have been people who are suspected to be non-residents when they go to the gym carrying big bags & changing in the gym. If you're a resident I don't think you really need to do that....but of course there's exception to the norm. Still, just need mgt to repair the door!

  9. Many do not wipe the equipment dry after each activitiy. i observe some eq are rusty from sweat. Make it mandatory to bring along a towel for this purpose.

  11. Of the 4 units of cross-trainers, as of 19/12/11, only 1 is left functioning. Can the JMC look into having them fixed soonest or at least get the easiest done first.
