Phase 2 Entrance

A replacement barrier has been on order for some time and this is due to be fitted within the next few days.

In addition the management office are looking into the feasibility of improving the traffic flow at the entrance by making the following changes:

The key advantages of this design is that it will allow residents a more direct entry to P1 and visitors will be next to guard house.

  1. Fully agree with the flow. Visitors' lane should be next to guard house for security purposes. Please also consider the position of CCTV at guard house, can it capture the driver's photo clearly?

  4. Understand what you are trying to say here.
    But my question is:
I assume the visitor spaces that you have mentioned in the picture is at the ground floor of phase 2 blocks. Meaning the visitors still need to go to P1 to exit, right? Since the exit is located at P1 instead of ground floor of phase 2.

  5. Anson - there is no up ramp from P1 to the guard house.

The current set up from left to right is as follows: visitor in, residents in, visitor out

The change would be result in the follwoing from left to right: visitor out, visitor in, resident in.

  6. Anson & JMC - I believe the picture is very clear. It is not referring to P1 exit. It is exit at Entrance Guard House (currently is entrance lane for visitor). Correct me if i'm wrong.

  7. Correct it's the entrance and not the phase 2 exit at level P1

  9. My comments are as follow:
    (1) Residents to enter via the right side of the guard house is a good idea. Pls instal the access card scanner at the proper height and proper roof cover.
    (2) Visitors to enter via the left side is a good idea. They can remain in vehicle and guards do not need to walk away from their base.
    (3) At the new Exit point, cars now need to watch out for oncoming traffic. Long Q of cars trying to enter will discrupt cars trying to exit.

How about traffic flow at Phase 1? Can it be retructured as well?
Lastly, please place proper signage at the guardhouse for both Phase 1 and 2.

Thank you for keeping us informed !

  10. Don't forget to put a proper signage for visitor/resident lane, not a hand-written one. I believe it's not too expensive to get.
