Proposed Management Office Renovation

The Management Office team has recently requested for funds to renovate the office. The renovations are due to several reasons:
  • The current office space is considered to be very cramped, poorly designed and not conducive to an efficient working environment.
  • We now have more personnel based at site including Accounts processing.
  • The existing CCTV panel/rack needs to be relocated to another location (centralised CCTV area).
  • Existing wiring arrangement (power points and equipment cabling) is very messy and poses a hazard.
  • There is a need for more seating for residents while waiting to be served
Whilst the JMC support this upgrade in principle, owing to the cost of the work and the imminent AGM we will submit this as a resolution at the AGM so that eligible JMB members can discuss and decide whether to support this proposal.

Based on the existing scope of work (which includes a new and extended frontage, a more open concept office and proper cabling) the cost is expected to be in the region of RM45-50K.

Proposed Although this request will be discussed at the next AGM in the meantime the JMC are interested to hear your views on the proposa.

  1. To put customer's first, the management office should consider the waiting area for residents queuing for payments or report an issue. From the layout, it seems that the counter area is smaller now.

  2. this proposal should be put on hold, until the MO is proven to be able deliver whatever have been approved during the AGM.
If the MO has accepted this contract at the first place, don't come and make noise that the place is too crowded, etc etc.
I seriously hope to hear from other owner's opinion..

  3. The proposed layout calls for an outward extension to the present office. I think this would be a huge mistake as the extension would stick out and partly cover the MPH. Instead of extending, why not keep only the clerical staff in the office and find another place for the technicians. how about the empty space next to the TNB room in B block. At least its better than handing it over to some contractor just so he can store his stuffs.

    1. Based on the survey report we had commissioned that are plaster cracks. The developer is fixing some of these but they will not provide a schedule or plan.

    2. you mean this is direct incharge by the developer? Then the management should follow up on this.

  5. without a schedule or plan ? i really dont know what to say seeing this kind of so called "planning"...a plan with no plan.

Why they cant come out a schedule?
