Update on the condition of the building facade

The state of the exterior facade has been a major concern for long time The developer previously agreed to address the issues and some rectification work has taken place with mixed results with their efforts appearing to have been prioritised on the walls overlooking the developers new show room.

Despite numerous requests by our building management the developer had refused to provide any sort of schedule or plan for the works.

We were pleasantly surprised to receive the below letter forming us that a company would be appointed in Dec 12 to repair and repaint the facade.

Several months ago we commissioned a professional building dilapidation survey report to investigate the latent and unresolved defects as well as baseline the condition of our building prior to the adjacent development taking place.

Our reply to the developer letter is below and we are currently awaiting a response.

We will endeavor to keep all residents informed of the progress in this area.

  1. If the developer is willing to repair our facade immediately that means they will be launching soon & are afraid that their customers would see the defects at Villawangsamas. But the sad part is they will only do the external facade but we all know of the shoddy internal workmanship that they have passed to us which we have to repair with our own money. We should have a meeting with them & offer for their customers to "visit" the interior of our condo and see for themselves how "wonderful" Setapak Heights workmanship really is...

  2. 8 months is way too long to rectify the cracks. By the 3rd month, developer would hv finish selling their new condo units and will they still be responsible n complete the rectification work? Also notice that some walls are now with 2 shades of yellow. Should they not complete it again, can we get them to repaint the whole condo to our prefered colour say white, to show some sincerity to complete the work on time.

  3. Yes, we/community/MO need to push the DEVELOPER to do it, dont leave to long, otherwise developer finish sell all the unitrs then no one responsible. The colours should change really, white or grey theme looks quality and high class condominium Wangsa Maju area. Paint white (current the yellowish) the maroon (should paint the grey).

I hope someone read these comments. Thanks
