We wish to update you on the situation with the cleaning services company (ABI Care).
Recently officials of the Immigration Department conducted a spot check of our condo and found ABI Care to have several workers without proper documentation. These workers were immeditaly removed and ABI Care was given a warning and due notice to rectify the irregularities failing which they will be fined.
To safeguard the best interest of the JMB, we demanded that ABI Care indemnify the JMB should this incident happen again. Unfortunately, ABI Care refused and instead chose to terminate their services at very short notice.
Due to the short notice period given, there was some delay in getting replacements. However, we are pleased to inform that starting today Sakura Services will take over the cleaning services on a short term basis effective 2nd November.
This is to ensure sufficient time to choose and appoint a cleaning contractor on a long term contract.
Owing to the short notice very limited manpower was available on Friday however this will be progressively increased over the coming days.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank you for your patience and continued support whilst the cleaning backlog is resolved.

I thought all this must check clearly before your appoint the cleaner services company in order not to have this kind of things happen.
ReplyDeleteEversince the recent AGM, I really had high hopes that the situation at Vmas could go uphill. All the voting for more money, more people in the JMC & promises for improvements.
ReplyDeleteBut things seems to be going downhill instead; with the no cleaners (the P3 lift lobby is filthy!!), no rubbish collection (garbage cans at D-7 is overflowing), car-park D-P3 floors are dirty & oily and today the hideous lifts not working at Block D.
It's like DBKL low cost flats! What is going on?????

Deletelets ask ourself what we have learn from this and in future not to happen again...a cleaning contractor been contract can jest leave and run away without any punishment by legal binding..oops..can't understand what it means to have contract.

DeleteThe 1 year contract finished in September and they were on a month to month deal pending the appointment of a new JMC. Unfortunately the manpower was reduced due to the raid and then they quit.
Deletethe question of "what is the exist clause" is still not answered.
Deletewe need to know if a fair contract is signed on behalf of VWM.
Else, why the contract is in favor to the contractor?
