Astro B'yond is coming to Villa Wangsamas

The JMC are pleased to announce that we have agreed an exclusive agreement with  L. S. Ang Audio Visual Trading to install a new Astro B’yond compatible satellite system and provide maintenance for 4 years.

The plan is to install a new standalone HD system in parallel with the existing system. Residents will be able to choose whether to upgrade to Astro Beyond or to continue using the existing system (normal Astro).

However, those who choose to upgrade must deal directly with LS Ang & Astro as the sole party for the installation work and selection of Astro packages. All installation/connection charges to the units are to be paid by the residents to LS Ang/Astro.

Installation of the new system should commence in 6-8 weeks and registration will open as soon as the installation commences.

More details will be posted once the installation and registration dates are confirmed.

    1. Its a new system so no need to install additional booster. If your current system is not working then please report it to teh management office and pressure them to find the cause of the signal issue

    2. Hi V.Wangsamas JMC,

I have been reporting to the management office since January 2012 and they sent Encik Bakri. January he check my in-house connection.
Feb & March he reset the booster at level 17 but still same problem occurred. Then Bakri recommend to call Astro agent, and the agent sell me amplifier just like Source Dewata below but its only improve 2 to 3 channels like Star World. I still can't watch TV1, AXN and few others.

    3. Doesn’t sound right to me because these booster should not be needed. The cause of the problem could be many things and the management office need to send a professional engineer to check.

Please contact the management office my email and cc the JMC and we will help follow up.

  4. i share amir's bad experience with astro's signal. after many complaints forwarded to the management office since january, my signal was still between 40-50. the service and amplifier from astro had cost me RM150 but it didn't help much as the signal source is still low. by the way, i'm on G-10.

    1. Did the Mgt Office send a contractor to check? I know many previous complaints were resolved.

    2. Hi Source Dewata,

Maybe we need to gather our neighbours in G-10, G-9 and others affected by low Astro signal and complain to management office? Make a complain letter with group signature ?

    4. dear robert and amir,

if i complain 1 more time, it'll b the 4th complaint. the mgt office sent bakri twice, n he mentioned that it might not b booster problem, but wiring or connection problem. in between his visits, even astro technician came n confirmed there wasn't any problem with my indoor systems. i'm worried that if this is the case, we'd have the same issue when astro b.yond is installed. it's appalling that while we had to endure the centralized system (n SD astro mode - while other r enjoying HD), even strong winds would kill the signal (not to mention cloud n rain). btw, what's the progress with the astro b.yond???

    5. The system is quite simple and the technician needs to place a scope on the line to check where the problem is. The management office need to send a professional company with the right tools and not somebody who looks a wire and then imagines what the issue is.

The delay in getting a new system is twofold, 1. SPM failed to get the required proposal together and secondly cost.

Please send a complaint to the management office and cc the JMC so that we can assist in following up.

  5. CTWK,

Once the new system has been installed, we'll open for applications from the residents. There's no need to use your old dish as we'll be using a common dish for each block (similar arrangement as the existing system).

  8. Dear Robert and Source Dewata,

I just logged a complain to JL Management regarding the low signal and quality of centralize Astro on block G yesterday, 31st July 2012 after having the opportunity of annual leave. JL looks better up to now as after fill in the complain form and submitted to Mr. Peter, JL central office call and verify the issue and provided a complain number: 0712137 (wow! similar to telco provider system).

So if Source Dewata still have the same issue, you could complain too by referring to the same complain number.

    Regards.

    2. Dear Robert and Source Dewata,

Mr. Ong from L.S. Ang Audio repaired the centralize system of block G and now my Astro decoder is back to 67 signal level and able to watch all channels without pixelize. Thanks to all parties JL, LS and JMC.

      Regards.
